Hi! I'm Yu Cui, and you can also call me Fish. I was born and raised in China, currently living in NYC. I am a graduate of NYU Tisch Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program. My life has always been surrounded by all types of arts: music, theatre, painting, and photography. This blog is where I share my love of traveling around the world, food, and living in NYC. One of my biggest passions is looking for colorful photo spots when I travel and sharing them with my audience.

Nice to Meet You

My Name

You may ask, why "Fish"? My first name is Yu (瑜), which in English pronounced as "You." It's a little confusing sometimes, especially when people are saying "Nice to meet you, Yu." or "Thank you, Yu." Also, many of my friends are having a difficult time pronouncing my name in Chinese. So, I figured I should get myself a nickname. My name has the same pronunciation as the word "Fish" (鱼) in Chinese. So here we go! That's my nickname. It's super easy to remember. I bet that you won't forget it.
